    Tempest Brewery Bottling Up a Storm.

    brb-labelling-machineTempest Brewing based in Tweedbank in the Scottish Borders recently were awarded two gold medals at the Barcelona Beer Festival.
    With over 500 entries Tempest won with an Amber Ale “face with no name” and a seasonal apple saison “Saison du Pommes.
    The beer was bottled on a recently supplied automatic bottling line from Enterprise Tondelli. The line includes a rotary self-adhesive bottle labelling machine so that the label is applied without any wrinkles or off set. They then travel on Eurosistemi conveyors to a rotary rinser/filler/crowner. A manual pack down station completes the line.

    beer-rinser-filler-capperKey features of the line are very low oxygen pick up which helps shelf life andf also gives a good platform for their flagship pale ale “Long White Cloud” packed with the finest New Zealand South Island hops.
    Named for its home land – “Aotearoa”, Land of the Long White Cloud – this beer is packed with the likes of Nelson Sauvin and Motueka hops, set against a good malt backbone with the finest Scottish malted barley. You’ll find notes of light malt, tropical fruits, and citrus, with smooth carbonation and a slightly thicker body than other pale ales.
